Natural stones often contain traces of Iron, which may oxidise when they come into contact with moisture either from rain or cleaning. It can also occur when stone comes into contact with certain acid-based cleaners that contain ingredients that can accelerate the oxidisation process.
The result of this oxidation is that the stone develops rust and discolouration (brown staining).
LTP Ferrex is specifically formulated to help remove these blemishes.
For single spots of rust use LTP Rust Stain Remover.

Not suitable for use on acid sensitive surfaces such as highly polished natural stone, limestone, marble enamal, zinc or other acid senstive metals and materials.
Some stones may become slightly darker following application.

In the last 6 months I had a new Indian Sandstone steps and walkway/patio fitted but was shocked to see rust marks appearing fairly quickly. I bought this Ferrex rust remover and cleaner, and was amazed how good it is, and how easy it was to treat. Looks like new again after just one treatment.

Works brilliantly. Had grey Indian stone fitted all through my cottage ground floor and initially thought the brown stains were just part of the stone until I googled and came across this product. I tested it on one slab and my god it was fantastic so I applied it to the rest of the ground floor and they’ve come up a treat. I only wish I could upload a picture to show the difference! I sealed it after with the mattstone H20 which I also highly recommend as it barely smells!!
